You can arrive at this module by using the Quick Deal Wizard (the last screen of the wizard takes you to the Deals Module, where it is storing all of the data.) or you can click transfer on the Finance Module.

The preferred method is the Quick Deal wizard because it allows you to enter all the data in a flowing, easy to input method. The screen by screen approach makes sure that you have all the required information to complete a deal and print the dealer pack forms.

You can complete a deal by clicking on the New button and then clicking each tab on the Deal Module, making sure that you enter all the required data. This may take some time and you may skip some fields that you would have normally filled in had you used the wizard. Many of our clients use this screen to verify that they have all the information.

The main tabs of this module are the Finance and Recap tabs.

The Finance tab allows you to arrive at a suitable payment for your customer. Make sure that you have a rate entered under the APR field and the number of payments or you will not be able to compute a payment.

If this is a Cash Deal, enter a 1 in the number of payment s and a rate of .01 under APR.

Click the Calculate Disclosure button to calculate the payment amounts, the Print Disclosure button will print a Deal washout , you can also print this from the Recap screen, this will let you see if the deal is profitable or not.

One thing to remember on this and any of our other finance screens, The ability to select Monthly, Weekly and Bi-Weekly payment plans will determine how much interest will be generated. The monthly payment terms usually generate more interest. If you customer wants weekly payments of $50.00 or $200.00 per month the difference between a year of $200.00 payments and a year of $50.00 per week payments can be considerable.

The Transfer button will take the selected deal and send it to history where it can no longer be edited. It also removes the vehicle from inventory and places it in sold vehicles. The Accounts Receivable module is also updated to include the customer , vehicle and deal information. If you have transfered this vehicle by mistake, you can go to the History screen from the Toolbar or menu and Find the Deal , click Transfer on that screen and send the deal back to open deals where you can work on it some more.
